The Attucks School is located near 18th & Vine Kansas City, Missouri. It was founded in 1893 and rented a building for its first operations. The school was named after Crispus Attucks, an African American who was killed in the Boston Massacre. After moving and outgrowing the building, a new two-story was built in 1904 and was completed the next year. The Attucks School was the oldest continually occupied school built for black students in Kansas City. This photo shows the front view of the school.
