The original Bijou Theater was built on the north side of the Square in Lamar, Missouri by E. E. Wagner in 1908 then sold the theatre to Arnold J. Simmons, who constructed the Plaza Theater on the south side of the Square on 107 11th Street in 1934. This photo shows the front exterior of the Bijou Theatre, c. 1908.
