The famous cowboy Wyatt Earp lived in Lamar, MO, where he met and married his first wife, Urilla Sutherland in 1870. Today, the Barton County Chamber of Commerce in Lamar, Missouri is building a park dedicated to Earp's honor. It is located in the downtown square across from the courthouse at the corner of Broadway and 10th Streets, near where Wyatt and Urilla were married.
